Marjorie Barretto, in the "Part 2" of her interview with Ogie Diaz, explained Gene's connection to their ongoing issue.
She said that Gene Padilla, who is the brother of Dennis Padilla, was not included in the list of wedding guests.
This statement was related to Gene's Facebook post where he shared his version of what really happened during Claudia's wedding.
Marjorie, however, made it clear once again that Gene was never invited to the wedding in the first place.

Barretto somehow answered the story of Gene, sharing his sacrifice just to attend the wedding. She said, "Wala namang nagsabing gawin mo 'yon."
Marjorie also explained that Gene was even fuelling the fire when Dennis was causing a scene during the wedding.
She said instead of pacifying and calming his brother down, he even agitated Dennis, complaining that the father of the bride didn't have a role at the wedding.
"Ano ba nira-rant mo, Gene? First things first, Gene, no offense, you were not invited to the wedding. Si mama lang at si Dennis. Kasi sa ranting niya parang nagising pa siya ng 5 AM, mula Bulacan pumunta pa siya'ng Alabang, wala namang nagsabing gawin mo 'yon," Marjorie said.
"Gene, imbes na pinahinahon mo 'yung kapatid mo, inano pa niya eh, finuel niya eh. Mas charged daw siya eh, ang kwento ng mga pamangkin ko, 'si kuya walang role, walang ganyan!' 'Yung, ina-agitate mo pa," Barretto said.

Marjorie Barretto is a Filipina former actress and politician. She hails from the prominent Barretto family, with sisters Gretchen and Claudine also being well-known figures in the Philippine entertainment industry. She is a mother to five children from different relationships. Her eldest daughter, Dani Barretto, was born from her relationship with actor Kier Legaspi. Marjorie later married comedian and actor Dennis Padilla in 1997, and they had three children together: Julia , Claudia, and Leon.
