Dennis Padilla has taken to social media anew to express his heartbreak over what happened during Claudia Barretto’s wedding.

To recall, Claudia and her longtime non-showbiz boyfriend, Basti Lorenzo, exchanged “I dos” in St. James the Great Parish in Muntinlupa on Tuesday, April 8. The lovely church ceremony was witnessed by the couple’s family and closest friends.

In his latest post, the veteran actor and comedian shared a photo of him, his younger brother Gene Padilla and their mother, at the church.

Dennis likewise recalled arriving early at the church with just his mother and Gene, filled with hope and anticipation that Dennis could finally get the chance to walk Claudia down the aisle.

“Sabi mo Gene, ‘Kuya alam ko masaya ka kasi mabibigyan ka ng chance mahatid si Claui sa altar,’ nung tayo pa lang ni Mama ang nasa church,” the text on his photo post reads.

In the caption, Dennis also penned a short prayer asking God to hold him amidst his heartbreak.

“Mahal na Diyos.. Hawakan nyo po ko,” he wrote.

In the comments section of his post, it could be noticed that Dennis responded to a netizen’s remark about Claudia and her in-laws. The netizen also offered a prayer for the celebrity dad.

To which Dennis emotionally replied, “Naawa ako kay claudia.”
