On Saturday, April 5, Karen Davila shared a carousel post containing several photos from the ABS-CBN Ball 2025, which took place on Friday, April 4 at the Solaire Resort North in Quezon City.
“SPRING FEVER. Basking in the freshness of spring for the #ABSCBNBall2025. What a beautiful night to celebrate friendships with Kapamilyas. And shoutout to Table 42! Wow that was fun,” the Kapamilya broadcast journalist wrote in the caption.

However, one of the photos she shared caught the attention of eagle-eyed netizens, who noticed the two singers purportedly interacting. This prompted the netizens to question whether Darren and JK have already reconciled.
The ‘The Voice Kids Philippines’ alumni were also seen conversing with another guy in the now-viral snap.
To recall, it was back in October 2018 when a public feud ensued between Darren and JK due to a "gayness" tweet allegedly posted by the latter. JK later denied posting the tweet and said that his account was hacked that time.
Darren Espanto, born on May 24, 2001 as Darren Lyndon Gonzales Espanto, is a Filipino-Canadian singer and actor well-known for his cover songs such as "Dying Inside To Hold You", originally sung by Timmy Thomas. He first joined a competition at the age of ten, where he won the Masters Finals of the Pinoy Singing Sensation competition in Edmonton.
Juan Karlos Labajo, on the other hand, is a singer-composer and the frontman of a band that carries his own name, Juan Karlos. He rose to fame after becoming one of the top contenders in the popular talent competition, The Voice Kids Philippines, in 2014. He placed third in the said contest, just right behind Darren and Lyca Gairanod. After The Voice, JK appeared in various shows and flicks on TV. Aside from his acting career, JK is also known as the voice and creator of the songs 'Buwan' and 'Ere.'
As previously reported by KAMI, JK penned a heartfelt message to his girlfriend, Dia Mate. This was after the latter was crowned Reina Hispanoamericana 2025. In his lengthy post on Instagram, JK congratulated Dia and lauded the beauty queen’s growth. The singer-songwriter also expressed how much he loves his significant other.
Meanwhile, JK, in a 2024 interview, recalled the time he reached out to his biological German dad. Previously, JK was invited by Ogie Diaz for a much-needed interview. There, JK recalled how he got the number of his biological dad, contacting him on WhatsApp. However, what his father did afterward stunned the Kapamilya star.
