Details about the passing of Angel's father have not been disclosed yet, following the family's request for privacy.
It can also be recalled that Angel's father just recently celebrated his 98th birthday last month.
ABS-CBN showbiz reporter, MJ Felipe posted on his X account:
Angel M. Colmenares is the father of Filipina actress Angel Locsin. He has been mentioned in various media reports, particularly concerning his health and family life.
For instance, in March 2022, it was reported that he was 95 years old and had been blind for several years. In September 2021, Angel Locsin revealed that her father had tested positive for COVID-19 but had recovered.
Angel Locsin is a Filipina actress, model, and philanthropist known for her roles in television and film. She gained fame for portraying Darna, the iconic Filipino superhero, in the 2005 TV series of the same name. She also starred in popular dramas like Mulawin, Lobo, The Legal Wife, and The General's Daughter.
Aside from acting, Angel is recognized for her humanitarian efforts, actively participating in disaster relief operations and advocating for various social causes. Her generosity and activism have earned her numerous awards, including being named one of Forbes Asia's Heroes of Philanthropy. She is married to film producer Neil Arce.
In a previous report by KAMI, Neil Arce shared an amusing conversation he had with Barbie Imperial after they watched Ogie Diaz's interview with Richard Gutierrez. In the interview, Richard addressed, for the first time, his relationship with Barbie and his breakup with Sarah Lahbati. Their conversation included a picture showing Neil watching the interview. Jokingly, Neil told Barbie, "Chardgel pa rin," referring to the past love team of his wife, Angel Locsin, and Richard Gutierrez.
In another viral showbiz news about her, fans of Angel Locsin rejoiced at how the actress once more made her presence felt on social media. The actress has long been in hiatus and it was only recently that she posted something again on social media. This came after her X account was allegedly hacked. She only posted after her account was recovered, and even had her husband confirm that indeed, her account was recovered.
