Bianca Gonzalez and Kapamilya star, Iza Calzado, recently talked about the 'beauty standards' in the local entertainment industry.
Earlier, Iza was invited to guest on Paano Ba 'To: The Podcast by Bianca, where they talked about the comments they used to hear.

"'Siguro ang ganda mo lalo kung maputi ka.' Ilang beses ko na narinig yan mula pagkabata. Grabe," the Pinoy Big Brother host shared.
Upon hearing this, Iza chimed in and said she also received the same comments from others back in the day as well, "Oh, girl. Ako rin, pero feeling ko mas dala mo yun kasi nga weight yung akin."

According to Bianca, Iza being met with 'weight' comments is also a 'version' of the standards.
"It's a version. I've been told by some very high profile people in our industry," Iza recalled as well.
Despite the comments about her skin color, Bianca expressed how lucky she was that it did not affect her in a negative way before.
"Yes, ganun talaga. So many many moons ago, syempre ang standard ay tisay, maputi, fair skin, nakakabulag sa puti. Ako, I'm lucky because hindi siya nakaapekto in a negative way only because my sister is dark-skinned and beautiful. My mother is also morena," she confessed.
At one point, Bianca told Iza her wishes that the mindset about 'beauty standards' would shift.
"I just feel that sana this would shift because even if you have dark skin, brown skin, super black skin, diba? Beautiful lahat ng yun."
Meanwhile, in the comment section of the video, many netizens expressed their delight for Bianca and Iza shedding light on the issue.
