Sharon Cuneta, a Filipina actress and singer, just reflected on her 9-year weight loss journey, which started back in 2016.

On Tuesday, February 4, Sharon took to her Instagram to write an honest message about how she had been during the journey.

According to Sharon, she decided to 'lose weight slowly' during her 50th birthday back in 2016.

Since then, it has been 9 years of 'losing weight' and 'gaining weight again' and her feeling disappointed and frustrated.

In her online post, Sharon bravely admitted that it was tiring, and that it made her cry and starve.

According to the Megastar, she felt as if she'd already tried all sorts of diets during her journey.

"I decided to lose weight slowly on my 50th birthday (2016). It’s been 9 years of losing weight, gaining weight again, being happy and inspired, feeling disappointed and frustrated. So I finally decided to step it up and lose the last several pounds this year. Nakakapagod. Nakakaiyak. Nakakagutom. Lahat na yata ng diyeta ginawa ko. Pero focused na now. Praying tuloy-tuloy na! Please pray for me. Excited na mamili ng mga damit na talagang gusto ko. But most of all, para super healthy na talaga!" the Megastar had written on her official Instagram account.

Sharon Cuneta, commonly known as the 'Megastar' in the local showbiz industry, is a prominent veteran celebrity in the Philippines. She is also the mother of KC Concepcion, her daughter with fellow actor Gabby Concepcion. In 1996, she married Kiko Pangilinan.

On Instagram, Sharon revealed that Ed was actually the first one to call and dub her 'The Megastar.' According to Sharon, after Ed's passing, it felt like an 'era has ended' again. Needless to say, the actress is heartbroken over her friend and 'kuya's' sudden passing.

Meanwhile, Sharon Cuneta, who just turned 59, received a heartfelt birthday greeting from KC Concepcion. In a heartfelt message, KC shared how the Megastar has been her 'first' in a lot of things in her life. KC also affectionately reiterated her love for her dear mother. In the comments section, it could be noticed that Sharon penned a sweet reply to her daughter.
