Rosmar Tan, in a recent Facebook post, declared she’ll continue to extend help to those in need even if she’s not running for office.
It can be recalled that the social media influencer filed her Certificate Of Candidacy (COC) for Manila councilor in October 1 of last year but withdrew it today, January 30, 2025.
In a post on Facebook after withdrawing her candidacy for Manila councilor, Rosmar said she’s only quitting her candidacy but would continue to help people.
She also revealed the reason why she decided to file her COC for Manila councilor last year.

“It’s Official 💖. Statement of withdrawal para sa candidacy ko. Wala talaga sa puso ko ang pamumulitika kaya ako tumakbo bilang independente dahil na engganyo ako ng mga nagpatakbo sakin na “MAS MARAMI DAW AKONG BUDGET SA PAGTULONG KAPAG NAKAPOSISYON AKO” Sa totoo lang lahat ng partido na tatakbo sa pagka MAYOR sa Manila ay kinukuha akong under sa kanila. Pero never ako nag OO sa kahit anong partido. Mas nanaig sakin ung gusto ko mag isa lang ako 🥹💖,” Rosmar said in her Facebook post.
“Kaya ako napa-OO dahil akala ko mas marami akong matutulungan. Marami nag advice sakin na wag na kasi marumi daw ang pulitika. Habang tumatagal lalo ako namumulat sa Pulitika at para sa akin hindi maganda. Pero as time goes by naisip ko na di ako masaya mangampanya lalo na nung time na bawal na mamigay ng paayuda at pera sa mga taong nangangailangan kasi considered vote buyiiiing na daw un 💁🏻♀️,” she further said.
“Ang hirap sa pakiramdam na may lalapit sakin at hihingi ng tulong pero bawal kong bigyan dahil baka daw ako mapicturan. Bawal daw. Na aabsorb ko ang pain na dala dala nila.💔 Masyado na napasukan ng pulitika ang pag tulong ko sa mga tao na sinimulan ko nung ako’y bata pa. Ilan beses din ako hinusgahan na kaya lang pala ako tumutulong dahil may balak daw ako tumakbo 💖,” the social media influencer said.
She also said that she learned a lot of things when she filed for candidacy.
“Marami akong natutunan sa pag file ko. Hindi porket alam mong kaya mo ay kailangan mo ng tumakbo. Mas masarap pa rin sa pakiramdam tumulong ng galing sa puso. Pag tulong na walang kapalit 😍💖,” she said.
“Masarap tumulong ng walang hinihingin kapalit sa mga tao. Ganun siguro talaga kapag bukal sa puso mo ang pagtulong sa mga tao 💖,” the socmed influencer said.
“Ayoko rin ma pirmi sa iisang lugar kasi kung saan may nangangailangan ng tulong ko dun ako pupunta at magbibigay ng tulong sa mga tao,” she added.
She then thanked those who expressed their trust and willingness to help her if she runs for councilor.
“Thank you sa mga nag tiwala sakin sa maikling panahon pero di po talaga ito para sa akin. Thankyou @shft international, Kuya Eugene, Kuya Ian, Kuya Lucy at Ate aizel. Sa Rosmar Angels maraming salamat,” Rosmar said.
Rosmar Tan, also known as Rosemarie Tan, became known on social media for providing help to netizens, especially during the pandemic. The number of people following her social media accounts gradually grew.
Earlier, the socmed influencer withdrew her bid for Manila councilor in the city’s first district. GMA News posted a video of the vlogger and entrepreneur filing her certificate of withdrawal. Earlier, she told Inquirer.net that she is set to file her certificate of withdrawal today at the Comelec headquarters in Manila. It can be recalled that the content creator filed her certificate of candidacy last October.
In a previous post, Rosmar said she found the alleged student behind the viral 'Sampaguita Girl' video. In a Facebook post, Rosmar revealed the girl's name was "Jenny," a 1st year Medtech student. She also cleared the rumors and posts about 'sampaguita girl' and 'vics girl' as the same person. Although it wasn't sure yet if the viral girl sampaguita vendor was indeed Jenny, Tan showed in another Facebook post that she sent the girl some financial help through E-wallet.
