In the remake, Jhong played the role of Gary, the father of Clara (Julia Montes), husband of Susan (Mylene Dizon).

He was known for the role of Homer "Alakdan" Adlawan in "FPJ's Ang Probinsyano." Jhong is one of the hosts of the Kapamilya noontime show, "It's Showtime." He is also currently serving as a councilor of Makati City from its 1st district since 2016.
