VP Sara Duterte, nag-rant sa socmed; minura si PBBM, First Lady Liza Marcos at Speaker Romualdez

Vice President Sara Duterte held a midnight press conference on Nov. 23, and where she unleashed a barrage of invectives against President Bongbong Marcos, First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos, House Speaker Martin Romualdez, as well as Manila 3rd District Rep. Joel Chua.

Duterte alleged that the Office of the Vice President is being persecuted by the administration.

Along with such allegations, she also dug up the supposed "lies" of PBBM just to secure votes, citing the promise during election time to bring down rice prices to P20 per kilo.

She also claimed that the First Lady allegedly knew about the envelopes.

"Ginigitgit nyo 'yung mga tao ko dyan sa envelop na yan. Liza Marcos, naalala mo nagpadala ka sakin ng video sinabihan mo ako saan kukunin ang pera?"

"Wala ka ngang posisyon sa gobyerno, namimigay ka ng pera ng gobyerno eh," she added.

Rep. Chua, who ordered the detention of Zuleika Lopez, Duterte's chief of staff at the OVP, also was not spared in the barrage of curses.

"They started destroying my name, pummeling me in the media with the multi-million PR campaign. Binastos nila ako ng mga pagsisinungaling nila na kesyo taksil, kesyo korap, abusado," she said.

"'Yung mga congressman na yan na naghi-hearing, ano ang sinasabi nila pagkatapos... pasensya na kayo ha kailangan kasi namin ng pera mag-e-eleksyon na...Di mo pala gusto ginagawa mo eh bakit mo sinisira pangalan ko Joel Chua?" she added.

Sara Zimmerman Duterte-Carpio, commonly known as Inday Sara, is a Filipino lawyer and politician who currently serves as the 15th vice president of the Philippines. She is notable for being the third female vice president, the third vice president from Mindanao, and the youngest vice president in the country's history. Duterte held the position of secretary of education until July 19, 2024. She is the daughter of the 16th president, Rodrigo Duterte, and has served as the mayor of Davao City from 2016 to 2022 and from 2010 to 2013. Additionally, she was Davao City's vice mayor from 2007 to 2010.

Previously, VP Sara denied allegations that she committed plagiarism. The work that was being alleged was the book that she authored "Isang Kaibigan." According to VP, it was really easy to write a short story based on one's personal experience. She also gave the public an idea about the next book that she will be writing about betrayal.

At around the same time, VP Sara, during the Senate hearing for the OVP budget, said she doesn’t want to be “plastic.” This was her reply to the request of Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano for parties in the hearing to be cordial. Earlier during the same hearing, VP Sara and Sen. Risa Hontiveros figured in a heated exchange. This was after Sen. Risa asked about the book project of VP Sara called “Isang Kaibigan.”
