South Korean actress Park Jia is making headlines due to the unfortunate news about her passing.

Her agency, BILLIONS, confirmed the heartbreaking news in a statement.

As per the company, the "The Glory" star died on September 30 due to a cerebral infarction.

"This is actress Park Jia's agency BILLIONS."

"We are deeply saddened to deliver this heartbreaking and unfortunate news."

"Park Jia passed away today (September 30) at 2:50 a.m. KST after battling a cerebral infarction. She was 52 years old."

It likewise shared details of the deceased actress's wake.

"The funeral hall for the deceased has been set up in Room 2 at Asan Medical Center. The funeral procession is scheduled for 10 a.m. KST on October 2."

Furthermore, the agency mournfully stated, "BILLIONS will forever remember the passion for acting that the deceased cherished until the very end. Once again, we express our deepest condolences on her passing and sincerely wish for her to rest in peace."

Park Jia's acting career started in 2002. She captivated audiences with her performance as Song Hyekyo's mother in the hit Netflix series "The Glory" in 2022.

Aside from Park Jia, there have been other Asian stars who died recently.

Lee San Eun, a South Korean soprano singer, has died at the age of 46. The well-known singer was found dead on July 6 in a girls’ comfort room right before her performance. An event staffer found her lifeless in the washroom on the 3rd floor of the Culture and Art Centre in Samnak-dong Gimcheon-si.
