According to a recent report by ABS-CBN, this was revealed by a member of his legal team, Atty. Mark Tolentino, who said their meeting is more like a “bible study” than a lawyer-client meeting.

He also said that their discussions centered mainly on spiritual things instead of legal matters.

“Nag-Bible study po kami doon. We were talking about the word of God… Nagpapasalamat po ako kay Pastor Quiboloy for the opportunity na one-on-one kaming dalawa lang. We talked about the bible, yung mga spiritual na mga teachings sa bible. ‘Yun lang ginagawa natin ngayon,” Atty. Tolentino said.

He also disclosed about the preacher getting bored and isolated after his co-accused were reportedly transferred to the Pasig City jail.

When asked about the ongoing case against his client, Atty. Tolentino declined to comment, citing sub judice rules.

“Sa hearing, hindi pa ako pwede magsalita kasi [may] sub judicial ruling so hindi ako pwedeng magsalita,” he said.
“Yung opinyon ko, allegation is not equivalent to guilt. ‘Yun lang sabi ko and there is a presumption of innocence unless proven guilty beyond reasonable doubt. Kailangan hindi tayo pwede mag-chismis lang kailangan based tayo sa batas, based sa jurisprudence, and based sa ebidensya,” Atty. Tolentino added.

Apollo Carreon Quiboloy is a church leader in the Philippines. He is the leader of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ. He has made claims that he is "The Appointed Son of God" as well as being "The Owner of the Universe".

Recently, Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy imparted an important message to all his followers. In an ambush interview with GMA News, he was asked if he had any message for his supporters. The beleaguered preacher, who was wearing a mask, dark glasses, helmet, and bulletproof vest immediately imparted a short message. The well-known preacher surrendered to authorities last September 8, or about two weeks since a composite police team numbering about 2,000 personnel stormed the KOJC compound.

Previously, the PNP said that Pastor Apollo Quiboloy and the other four co-accused of the religious leader, will remain at the Philippine National Police custodial center. This is located in Camp Crame in Quezon City. This was despite a court order for their transfer to the Quezon City jail. Earlier, uncovered mugshots were shared by DILG Secretary Benhur Abalos.
