An entire family was wiped out after a tragic accident in Sariaya, Quezon Province, Sunday morning, August 18.

A van carrying 14 passengers figured in a fatal collision with a truck running in the opposite direction.

The collision cause the untimely demise of 8 of the passengers of the van, including a family of five.

The fatalities included a two year old child.

According to one of the relatives, the driver of the van and it’s passengers, who were all related, came from the first death anniversary celebration of another relative.

“Yung driver po, yung ang kapatid ko, namatay. Tapos bale yung bayaw ko po, patay. Tapos ang isang pinsan ko, patay,” the female relative narrated.

“Tapos yung kapatid ko, may tatlong anak, ubos yun. Tapos yung asawa ng kapatid ko. Tapos isang dalawang taong babae, yun patay pa rin po. Kaya bale lahat po silang, naubos yung isang pamilya,” the relative revealed.

While investigation as to the cause of the accident is still ongoing, authorities are not rulling out the possibility that the driver of the van must have dozed off.

This might have caused the vehicle to veer off into the opposite lane, right into the path of the oncoming truck.

Authorities have filed a case against the driver of the truck of “Reckless Imprudence" which resulted in multiple deaths.

An example of a viral post that became news was that of the two missing Fil-Am toddlers, whose grandmother appealed for help in locating her grandchildren. The grandmother also said that their family is offering a reward of $10,000 for those who can help in locating the two kids, Mateo Lee and Athena Lee. In a Facebook post, she was expressing how devastated they all were, and would now simply want for the two kids to be returned home. She also encouraged everyone to re-share and re-post the poster, to help in locating her grandchildren.

It can be recalled that the post about the two Fil-Am toddlers went viral after their family posted about their disappearance. According to the family, they will be giving a $10,000 reward for the two kids. In a report by Inquirer, the mother of the two toddlers was found dead in the home of her ex-partner. As per the investigation of authorities, the two kids were last seen with the ex-partner of the mom, Camron Lee.
