Angelica Poquiz Yulo, the mother of Pinoy golden boy, Carlos Yulo, in a press conference admitted that she indeed blocked her son in Facebook Messenger.
Mrs. Yulo also admitted that she did “unfriend” Caloy on Facebook.
She talked about the “blocked” issue after a reporter asked her about an alleged screenshot photo of her comment seemingly indicating that Caloy is supposedly blocked from her Facebook account.
“Hindi siya naka-block sa Facebook ko no, sa Messenger ko siya naka-block,” Mrs. Yulo said.

The Pinoy Olympic sensation’s mom then said that she “unfriended” Caloy on Facebook for her peace of mind.
She also added that she didn’t want to see her son during that time because of their misunderstandings.
“In-unfriend ko siya para for my peace of mind na din. Hindi rin kasi ako ready. Ayaw ko kasi muna siyang makita during that time dahil nga sa hindi namin pagkakaunawaan,” Mrs. Yulo said.
A reporter then wondered aloud if Mrs. Yulo is not ready to accept her son again on Facebook or unblock him, something which the mom of Caloy immediately answered.
“We’ll see,” she said.
When pressed about the matter, she repeated her answer of “we’ll see.”
Carlos Yulo is a Filipino artistic gymnast known for his exceptional skills and achievements in gymnastics. He gained international recognition for his performances in various competitions, particularly in the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships. He won two gold medals in gymnastics' men's floor exercise and men's vault in the 2024 Paris Olympics.
In other news, it was earlier reported that Carlos willreceive P20 million cash incentive from PAGCOR. The announcement was made by Chairman Alejandro Tengco. In Manila Bulletin's report, he said that Caloy does not know yet that he will be receiving that incentive from the agency. Caloy is guaranteed by law to receive the incentive, and that will be coming from PAGCOR, as per reports.
Meanwhile, in an interview by Dyan Castillejo, revealed what he plans to do with the money he’s earned as incentives for winning two Olympic gold medals. It can be recalled that Caloy dominated two events that earned him two gold medals at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Because of this, he’s sure to get cash incentives of over P32 million as of Monday, August 5, 2024. Cynthia Carrion, the Gymnastics Association of the Philippines president, whom Caloy considers as a mother-figure and who was with him during the interview, also agreed to the athlete’s plans.
