Smugglaz defends Ivana Alawi over "attitude issue" on 'FPJ's Batang Quiapo'

Smugglaz recently defended his co-star Ivana Alawi amidst circulating rumors about her alleged "attitude issue" on the set of the hit Kapamilya primetime series "FPJ's Batang Quiapo."

The controversy sparked discussions on social media, claiming that the actress' behavior led to her character, Bubbles, being temporarily written off.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Smugglaz, who portrays Juanito 'Kidlat' Bautista in "Batang Quiapo," dismissed the rumors.

He emphasized that there was no instance of Ivana exhibiting diva-like behavior on set.

According to him, director Coco Martin ensures everyone on the team is well-aligned and in harmony.

"Sa amin kasi kapag may lumulutang na ganyan, si Direk Coco (Martin) kasi lahat ng pinupuwesto niya, lahat iyan naka-tono. Kumabaga, naka-tono para blend tayo. Sa tingin ko sa pagtatagal ni Ivana, 'di mo masasabing nag-attitude kasi si Ivana, kapag kasama namin sa set sobrang bait niya e, kalog rin siya so kung paano mo siya nakikita hindi naman siya pa-istar," he said.

"Kasi bago pa man namin siya nakasama sa 'Batang Quiapo,' kasama na namin siya sa 'Probinsyano,' nagkakausap na kami noon hindi pa siya leading lady ang role pa niya noon kina Ryan Eigenmann so nagkasama na kami sa dati kaya hindi na bago. Siguro mas mainit lang ngayon kasi nga si Ivana na siya. Pero ramdam naman niya ang respeto sa amin sa set at nakikita niya 'yun at sinusuklian niya kaya maayos kami sa set."
