Nadia Montenegro, in her exclusive interview with Julius Babao, talked about her late husband, Macario "Boy" Asistio Jr. and her daughter, Sophia.

According to Nadia, the things that happened in her life, she did not hide them from the people whom she deemed deserved to know the truth.

"Yung mga nangyari sa buhay ko before, in the past, siguro umabot sa 17, 18 years na naitago ko. Hindi ko ito itinago sa mga taong dapat nakakaalam. Hindi ko rin ito itinago sa mga mahal ko sa buhay. Hindi ko itinago sa anak ko. Hindi ko itinago kay Boy," she said.

In her interview, Nadia said it was difficult for people to understand what had happened.

"'Bakit okay sila? Bakit nagtagal sila ni Boy? Bakit sila okay ng mga anak niya kung may ganito?' Common sense, guys, sa tingin niyo, hindi ko inayos ito? Tingin niyo, hindi ko pinlano ito? Tingin niyo, hindi ko pinroblema ito?" she asked.

Halfway through, Nadia revealed she managed to have a heart-to-heart talk with Boy before the latter passed away two weeks later.

"Two weeks before Boy died, we had a heart-to-heart talk of two and a half hours. Which, sinasabi ko sa lahat ng malalapit sa akin na siguro kung hindi nangyari yung two hours na heart-to-heart talk namin ni Boy, not knowing he would die two weeks later, siguro baka hindi niyo na ako nakakausap ngayon. Kasi it’s the most valuable, most important conversation we ever had in 29 years," she said.

Nadia Montenegro is a Filipina actress who starred in several movies and teleseryes including; Playhouse, Maria Mercedes, Toda Max, and Dyesebel. The veteran actress is also the mother of Ynna Asistio.

As previously reported by KAMI, Nadia Montenegro opened up about the trials and ordeals that turned her into a stronger and wiser person. The actress revealed that she has already undergone 14 surgeries in 49 years, including two liposuctions. She also got into two car accidents, falling from the fourth floor of a building at the age of 9, and losing her house to a fire when she was just 7.

It can be recalled that back in 2020, Nadia and Chuckie Dreyfus joined forces to help John Regala. However, the two ended up cutting their support for the actor whom they said was a difficult individual to deal with.
