Alexa Ilacad, a Filipina celebrity, just slammed a basher for making unsolicited comments about her body on her official Instagram page.

On Sunday, June 23, Alexa uploaded a screenshot of their conversation on the photo-sharing app.

"Ang ganda mo pero may something talaga sa katawan mo na medyo off," the basher said, prompting Alexa to respond immediately.

"2024 na pero hindi ka pa rin aware na our bodies come in different shapes, sizes, and proportions? I'd suggest you to hit the books before making comments that are very... 'off,'" she wrote.

Eventually, the basher responded again, saying, "2024 na pero mukhang ang gusto mo lang na comment ay yung hindi "off" para sayo? Dapat hindi ka nag-artista if you can't stomach the truth.

To which Alexa fiercely replied on Instagram, "What a dumb argument. Me being a celebrity doesn't give you a free pass to be rude."

Following her screenshot, Alexa penned a short but meaningful message about her career and job.

"Last time I checked, ang trabaho ko po bilang artista ay umarte, kumanta, sumayaw minsan, at magpasaya ng tao (which I love doing). But it isn't part of my job description to tolerate rude comments like this. Constructive criticism-I accept with an open heart, but this? Nah. Such a toxic mindset," she wrote.

Alexa Ilacad, or Alexandra Madarang Ilacad, is an actress, singer, and dancer from the Philippines. She has appeared on ABS-CBN shows and has thrived in her showbiz career since she starred on the kiddie comedy program Goin' Bulilit.

According to Alexa, it is a huge privilege to have been able to share a stage with Yeng. The said post also expressed the gratitude of the actress towards the veteran singer.

Meanwhile, Alexa Ilacad recently fangirled over her idol, Marian Rivera. On Instagram, Alexa uploaded a short video clip of Marian standing up from her seat. The said video was taken from an event the two celebrities attended, where Marian won an award. Needless to say, Alexa was not able to hide her fangirling feels.
