Heart Evangelista, a Filipino actress-socialite, recently visited the Tahanang Mapagpala Development Center in Caloocan City.

The said visitation was Heart's "first field work" for her role as the President of the Senate Spouses Foundation Inc., which delighted netizens.

In her post, Heart said they checked on the center's residents and delivered personal comfort kits to everyone in the development center.

"SSFI visited the Tahanang Mapagpala Social Development Center in Caloocan City today. We checked on the center’s residents and delivered personal comfort kits and other daily essentials that are usually overlooked. Built in 1997 by the SSFI to provide shelter for neglected, abandoned, and abused children, the center is now also home to abandoned elderlies," she began.

Following this post, Heart thanked the local government of Caloocan for maintaining the upkeep of the center and for opening it to those in need.

"We thank the local government of Caloocan for maintaining the upkeep of the center and for opening it up to accommodate those who come knocking. SSFI will be here as a partner and will continue to deliver the fundamental purpose of service that was started by our predecessors," she said.

By the end of her online post, Heart thanked the senate spouses who joined her on their first field work, saying everybody made it purposeful.

"Thank you to all our senate spouses and volunteers who joined and for making our first field work purposeful. More than the presents we shared, what really mattered is your presence, the time you spent with the kids and the lolos and lolas who lighted up and shared their stories to each one of us," she wrote.
