Pokwang, in a recently-held GMA7 Network event, revealed she dreams of doing a project someday with Ai-Ai delas Alas, Eugene Domingo, and Rufa Mae Quinto together.

This was her revelation after she took the stage to make a statement after signing a renewal contract with the talent management arm of GMA Network, the with Sparkle GMA Artist Center.

In her statement during the said renewal ceremony, dubbed “Signed For Stardom 2024,” Pokwang said the biggest comediennes are now with GMA7, and then proceeded to mention the names of Ai-Ai, Eugene, and Rufa Mae.

She then voiced out her wish for her and the three of them to work on a project together.

“Nandito po ngayon sa GMA ang mga pinakamahuhusay na komedyante. Andito po si Ms. Ai-Ai, the comedy queen, Eugene Domingo, my kumare, Rufa Mae, sali ko na rin po sarili ko,” she said.

“Sana po matuloy yung ipinapanalangin ko na magsama-sama kami sa isang project. Ma'am Anette, bekenemen. Yun po, isa rin po yun sa nilo-look forward ko, sana po, diba,” Pokwang said.

Marietta Subong, or Pokwang, is among the most well-loved comediennes in the industry. Her frank and motherly ways are always "patok" among Filipinos. She used to be with ABS-CBN but moved to GMA during the pandemic. Some of her popular movies are “Call Center,” “A Mother’s Story,” and “Edsa Woolworth.” She has two daughters, Mae and Malia. Her split with Lee O'Brian has caused a buzz on social media.

Pokwang, in a brief statement in the same “Signed For Stardom 2024” event at GMA7, revealed her goal in life before was to be a television dancer. The TV host and actress-comedienne recently renewed her contract with Sparkle GMA Artist Center. On stage, Pokwang revealed her first taste of showbiz was with GMA and that she first performed in one of the network’s shows as a “kontesera,” though clarified that it was not in a beauty pageant but dance contests. The comedienne admitted she didn’t expect her prayers would be granted in such a big way.

Recently, the comedienne also took to social media to address some netizens who upload content about "sardinas." Such netizens then allegedly proceed to dislike the food and talk about it. Following this news, Pokwang expressed her honest thoughts about such contents.
