Ogie Alcasid, in a recent post on his Instagram account, shared a heartfelt tribute for Leo Dominguez, his manager, whom the singer-songwriter said just passed away.

According to Ogie, Leo was the first person who told him that he could be a singer-songwriter someday.

“You were the first person who told me that i could be a singer songwriter back when we were in high school,” Ogie wrote in his post.
“I actually did not believe you,” he added.

The famous singer then said that Leo is the best manager, adding that he was also a friend and a brother for a long time.

“To say that i had the very best manager in you is a total understatement because you were more than that to me. You were a friend and a real brother for almost 34 years,” the singer-songwriter said.

He then thanked Leo for all his hard work, saying that the world “lost a priceless human being.”

“Salamat Leo sa lahat ng pinagpaguran mo para sa akin. Napakasakit sa dibdib na wala ka na. The world just lost a priceless human being. Love you Leo Dominguez. Rest now with Jesus,” Ogie said in his post.

Ogie Alcasid is a singer and composer in the Philippines. He is married to Regine Velasquez. a famous singer and host in the Philippines who is dubbed as the Asia’s Songbird because of her outstanding vocal range. They have a son, Nate. The couple is considered one of the most respected power couples in the industry of showbiz in the Philippines.

In a previous socmed post, ogie honored his mother and said she is his life’s inspiration. The singer-songwriter said that his mother would always be there to guide him, particularly through the ups and downs of his life. He also said that his mom is his “source of strength and inspiration” and the shining star of his life. Near the end of his post, Ogie called his mom a superwoman who took care of all of them, and then gave her a loving Happy Mother’s Day greeting.

In another Instagram post, Ogie also admitted that the life of Gary Valenciano is one of his inspirations. Both singer-songwriters were former members of the famous “Kundirana,” a music ministry group from La Salle Green Hills. According to Ogie, he’s been following the career and music of Gary V, his former mentor at Kundirana. He also proudly declared that he and Gary V have become brothers for life.
