Bela Padilla, a well-known actress, expressed her thoughts over her upcoming birthday this year, where she recalled her late dad.

On her Instagram page, @bela, she uploaded a photo that was taken outside of a moving car, showcasing the tranquil scenery.

The actress then penned a heartbreaking note about her birthday and how she only got "33 birthday cards" from her late dad.

"I just realized this will be the first year that I won't receive a birthday card and an early morning call from my dad. 33 birthday cards is what I got in this lifetime. I've never really celebrated my birthday because of my religion. But my dad didn't share my beliefs and he always went ahead and celebrated... me. And so I allowed him to sing for me every year on the 3rd of May. Tomorrow will be quite different," she wrote.

It is worth recalling that Bela's dad, Cornelius Gary Sullivan, passed away back in 2023.

Bela Padilla is a famous Filipina showbiz personality. One of her projects, “Miracle in Cell No. 7,” became the top-grosser at the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) in 2019. Aside from being an actress, she is also an accomplished screenwriter.

In the caption of her post, Bela jokingly told the couple to get married every year. She then expressed her thoughts about the wedding and shared how lovely it was.
