March 23 was a double celebration for the family since it was Ria's birthday and also her wedding to Zanjoe Marudo.

She began her showbiz career with Ningning, a TV drama series, and variety noontime show It's Showtime. Ria is the younger sister of actor-politician Arjo Atayde. She is rumored to be pregnant with her first child but she has not addressed the speculation.

On, February 20, Ria and Zanjoe Marudo revealed that they are now happily engaged. Ria took to social media and shared some sweet photos of her and the actor. One of the snaps she published shows her hand flaunting her stunning engagement ring. Forever sounds good,” Ria captioned, prompting Zanjoe to comment, “And tastes even better.”
