Carla Abellana has taken to Instagram Direct Messenger to express her earnest gratitude to Sen. Grace Poe.

The actress thanked the senator for urging the passage of the revised Animal Welfare Act.

“Senator Grace, THANK YOU. You have no idea how much joy, relief and gratitude we, animal welfare advocates, have and feel for you. This is a momentous season for all and we have you to be eternally grateful for,” Carla’s message reads.

“Thank you, Carla,” the politician replied.

In her lengthy caption, the Kapuso star also wrote, “@sengracepoe you are heaven-sent. God bless you a thousandfold.”

Carla also vowed to continue to pray for the bill’s passing.

“Hooray for the revised Animal Welfare Act! I will continue to pray for the new bill’s passing, and for all the innocent animals in our country who are voiceless and helpless amidst the neglect and/or abuse of humans.”

Furthermore, she penned a heartfelt message to Killua, a Golden Retriever dog that died due to maltreatment by a certain Anthony Solares.

“Killua, justice is coming, Sweetheart. Soon. Even under RA8485 alone, justice will be served.”

Carla Abellana is an actress and endorser who works for GMA. She is married to fellow Kapuso star Tom Rodriguez. Before entering showbiz, she graduated with honors at De La Salle University with a degree in psychology. She gained prominence for playing the lead role in the Philippine adaptation of the Mexican telenovela "Rosalinda."
