Actor Sid Lucero, the son of Mark Gil and Bing Pimentel, is currently mourning the untimely demise of Jaclyn Jose.

The veteran actress passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2024. She was 60 years old.

On his Instagram page, Sid shared a photo of a candle with a background showing a black shirt with the text "Festival International du Film Cannes" printed on it. To recall, Jaclyn bagged the Best Actress award for the film "Ma’Rosa" at the prestigious 69th International Cannes Film Festival held in Cannes, France in 2016.

Along with the photo, Sid penned a heartfelt message to the internationally acclaimed actress.

Jaclyn won the Best Actress award for the film “Ma'Rosa” at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival. She was also known for her roles in the films "Private Show", "White Slavery", and "Santa Juana". Jaclyn was the mother of another famous actress, Andi Eigenmann.

Andi, 33, has finally addressed her mother's untimely passing. On Monday, March 4, Andi and Gabby Eigenmann faced the media to provide an official statement. In the video, Andi could be seen in tears, with her voice shaking as she confirmed her mother's passing. According to Andi, Jaclyn passed away due to a myocardial infarction, or a heart attack.
