- In her post, she narrated how Jaclyn, who lived 11 houses down from Clau’s own home, would often visit her and keep her company

- She also said that whenever she’s going through something, Clau would just run to the house of Jaclyn and go straight to her room and tell the veteran actress her problems

- Claudine said that Jaclyn would immediately hug and comfort her, indicating that the veteran actress treated her like a daughter

Claudine Barretto, in a very emotional post on Instagram, expressed her deep sadness on the untimely passing of multi-awarded actress Jaclyn Jose, whom she called “Nanay Jane.”

It can be recalled that Clau and Jaclyn have become very close to each other after working together on many movie and TV projects like, Dahil Mahal Na Mahal Kita, May Nagmamahal Sa Iyo, and Mula Sa Puso.

In her post, Clau first mentioned the passing of Direk Wenn Deramas on February 29 and several days after, Jaclyn also passed away.

“Feb.29 Direk Wenn left us.March 2 Nanay Jane u left us.you left me. I’m in unbearable Pain.everything is painful,” Claudine said in the beginning of her post.

She also narrated how Jaclyn, whose place of abode is 11 houses down from Clau’s own home, would often visit her and keep her company.

“You lived 11 houses down from my house.i will miss u coming up to my room tulog ako tatabihan mo ako. Pag nagising ako sasabihin mo anak na miss ka lang ni Nanay. Andito lang ako, tulog ka pa d ako aalis ng di kita napapatulog,” the actress wrote.
“Pag may pinagdadaanan ako tatakbo ako mula bahay ko papunta sa bahay mo. Didiretso ako sa room mo at tatabihan kita. Sabay sabi Nay pwede dito muna ako. Yayakapin mo ako ng mahigpit. Kakantahan at patatahanin. Kinabukasan may mainit na sabaw iaakyat ni yaya ging sakin,” she said.

Clau then expressed deep regret at not being able to visit Jaclyn for the past three months.

She then told Jaclyn just how much she loved her, questioning why until now good fate eludes them.

“Galit ako kasi 3months na kita d dinadalaw. Ayoko mag isa ka. Nay tulungan mo ako pls. I love you sobra nay. Ang ilap ng tadhana para sa atin dalawa,” She said.
“Ang sakit sakit nay. Miss na miss kita. I’m sorry d kita naramdaman gaya ng dati. Ikaw bilang nanay ko alam mo may mali andito ka kaagad.mahal na mahal kita Nay,” Claudine said at the end of her post.

Jaclyn won the Best Actress award for the film “Ma' Rosa” at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival. She was also known for her roles in the films "Private Show", "White Slavery", and "Santa Juana". Jaclyn was the mother of another famous actress, Andi Eigenmann.

Media executive Charo Santos also shared an emotional post about the late actress Jaclyn Jose has earned hordes of positive reactions from netizens. In her post, Charo bid farewell to Jaclyn whom she said had a “remarkable soul” and one with exceptional talent, calling her bright star that was gone too soon. She then recalled the times when the late actress guested on several MMK episodes that the veteran media executive hosts. It can be recalled that Jaclyn passed away on March 3, 2024 with the cause as revealed by her daughter Andi as myocardial infarction or heart attack.
