Daniel John Ford Padilla, more popularly known to his fans and in the entertainment industry as Daniel Padilla or DJ, is a multi-awarded Pinoy actor, recording artist, model, and product endorser. He was born on April 26, 1995 to actor Rommel Padilla and actress Karla Estrada. As an actor, DJ has received numerous awards in both television and film. His former girlfriend is superstar actress Kathryn Bernardo.

In a previous report by KAMI, Karla Estrada, in an emotional speech she delivered after her son Daniel Padilla renewed his contract with ABS-CBN, expressed how loyal they are to the network. Earlier in her speech, the actress-turned-politician congratulated DJ for his contract renewal, and at the same time recalled the time they made a promise never to leave the Kapamilya Network. She also said that with all the things happening with ABS-CBN, including the network’s shutdown, Daniel stood pat on his decision not to leave. The celebrity mom then expressed hopes that Daniel would still be with the Kapamilya Network even if is already old.

Earlier, in a speech following his signing of the contract with ABS-CBN, Daniel expressed opinion that for him, no other fans club can beat KathNiel. The said name or phrase carried by many fans clubs of Daniel and his ex-girlfriend, Kathryn Bernardo, is taken from the first four letters of the name of Kath and the last four letters of the name of DJ. It can be recalled that the two celebrities, who have been together as real-life couple for 11 years, announced their breakup on social media on November 30 of last year. The two have worked on various movie flicks and TV series together, some of them were big hits for both TV and movie audiences.
