Xyriel Manabat, bet makapareha si Andrea Brillantes sa GL project: “Kinikilig naman siya sa akin”

- Xyriel Manabat, in an ABS-CBN media conference for the series, “Senior High,” expressed willingness to take on a role in a GL project

- When asked as to who is her preferred co-star, Xyriel did not give any name at the outset though gave clues that eventually led to her “Senior High” co-star, Andrea Brillantes

- She also revealed that Andrea, her real-life BFF, would go “kilig” whenever she would joke to her about such project

- The young actress also stated her reasons why she wanted to portray a GL role

Xyriel Manabat, in a recent media conference of ABS-CBN for the series, “Senior High,” said she’s willing to portray a role in a GL project.

She said she’s even willing to have a kissing scene in such projects.

When asked for the reason why, Xyriel said she feels more comfortable doing a kissing scene with the same gender.

“Feel ko, kung tatanungin ako, sa on-screen kissing scene, gusto ko talaga sa babae. Kasi, feeling ko, mas komportable ako ‘pag ganoon,” Xyriel said during the interview.

“Feeling ko, mas walang ilangan, less issue, less hassle,” she added.

When asked as to who she would like to be paired with in such a GL project, Xyriel did not immediately name Andrea, though gave clues which eventually gave her away.

“Open naman po ako for any, pero dati kasi, bago ako bumalik sa taping ulit, may mga kaasaran po ako, tapos sabi ko pag ikaw, pag ikaw pinormahan ko, tapos kinakantahan ko siya, kinakantahan ko siya, tinititigan ko siya sa mata, tapos kinikilig naman siya sa akin,” Xyriel said.

“Basta matalik ko po siyang kaibigan. Tumatawa siya ngayon. Kinikilig siya ngayon, naaalala niya kasi,” she added, looking at a giggling Andrea who was seated one seat away.

At this point, Xyriel pointed to Andrea and confirmed that she would joke to her about such a role.

“Dati kasi inaasar ko siya pag may mga road trip kami,” Xyriel said, pointing to Blythe.

When asked for her reaction, Andrea said she would also be comfortable doing a kissing scene with her best friend, Xyriel.

“If ever lang naman po, I would be comfortable doing that scene with my best friend. And si Xyriel, magaling siyang actress, e. Marami po kaming makukuha sa isa’t isa,” Andrea said.

Xyriel Manabat, or Xyriel Anne Bustamante Manabat in real life was first recognized in the world of showbiz when she joined Star Circle Quest: Search for the Next Kiddie Idol in the year 2009 where she was awarded 3rd placer. The former child actress received acclamations for her performance in “100 Days to Heaven” and “Ikaw Ay Pag-Ibig.” She is also one of the cast of "Dirty Linen."

Early this month, Xyriel voiced out her thoughts about some “elderly people” she recently encountered. Those people were allegedly entitled and accused Xyriel of being selfish. They supposedly made those accusations after Xyriel refused to grant them a favor. The actress explained why she refused to do what those “elderly people” told her to do.

Last year in an interview with PikaPika, the young actress revealed the first item that she bought from her TF. The actress said that it was "Baby Alive," a doll that speaks and eats. She also revealed that she likes taking care of things, or animals, including chicks. Xyriel was interviewed as she graced the red carpet at the ABS-CBN Ball.
