Sharon Cuneta appealed to IG and asked her followers to donate to Pawssion Project instead of giving her gifts on her birthday.

Pawssion Project is a shelter for dogs, and they are taking care of hundreds of dogs each day.

The shelter is dependent on those with benevolent hearts to help them with the financial requirements to keep the place running.

Sharon said that a donation to the shelter would mean more to her than any gift that could ever be given her on her birthday.

Sharon Cuneta, commonly known as the 'Megastar' in the local showbiz industry, is a prominent veteran celebrity in the Philippines. She is also the mother of KC Concepcion, her daughter with fellow actor Gabby Concepcion. In 1996, she tied the knot with Kiko Pangilinan.

Recently, Sharon's family made a live video greeting wishing everyone a "Happy New Year." It was also at this moment that Shawie talked about her previous posts which she said were all brought about by her emotions. Mega then admitted that she and her husband, former Senator Francis "Kiko" Pangilinan, had a quarrel, parted ways, and eventually made up, so they're okay now.
