In a surprising turn of events, former child actor Jiro Manio made a special appearance on Boss Toyo's Pinoy Pawnstars Episode 301. The once-prominent actor decided to part ways with his prestigious Gawad Urian Best Actor Award trophy, won in 2004 for his role in the acclaimed movie “Magnifico.”
During the episode, Boss Toyo acquired the significant trophy for ₱75,000, marking a poignant moment in Jiro's journey. Boss Toyo also told Jiro that no matter what has happened, Jiro’s contribution to the world of Philippine acting is irreplaceable.
Once celebrated for his acting prowess, Jiro fell into a tumultuous period, grappling with substance abuse and legal issues. However, recent reports highlight his remarkable turnaround, serving as a co-facilitator at a rehabilitation center – the same place that played a role in his recovery.

Jiro Manio was an acclaimed child actor who starred in many classic movies including “Magnifico” and “Anak.” He won a Gawad Urian Best Actor award at a very young age. He started acting at the age of seven in the film "Pamana" in 1999.
The former child actor was involved in a stabbing incident in Marikina City last year. The said prominent celebrity was detained in Marikina City Police Station after being arrested on January 17, 2020. The camp of the celebrity claimed that it was the wounded man who started the trouble.
KAMI then learned that the said news prompted Ai-Ai delas Alas to finally speak up about the events that transpired after she helped Jiro back in 2015. In the video, Ai-Ai revealed that she sent Jiro to rehab after the latter was seen in NAIA, "After po nun, ni-rehab ko po si Jiro dito sa Quezon City."
