Sharon Cuneta, inaming may pinagdadaanan: “My heart is in pieces”

Sharon Cuneta, in a recent post on her Instagram account, revealed she is going through something right now.

She, however, did not give any indication, nor hint, on what it is that she’s going through at present.
In her IG post, the Megastar said that Christmas is her “favorite time of the year,” but this 2023, she hasn’t “at all felt the usual joy and excitement” that she feels in her heart.
“CHRISTMAS HAS FOREVER BEEN MY FAVORITE TIME OF THE YEAR This year though?I have NOT at all felt the usual joy & excitement in my heart,” Sharon wrote in the description box of her post, which consisted of prayer cards for those who feel sad this Christmas.

“This is so very unlike me.Though I have to admit that I have not been like myself for a while now…The schedule promoting my first MMFF movie in many years has been both a blessing&a source of happiness & also, it has brought me physical,emotional & mental fatigue,” she added.
Shawie then said that her recent activities have aggravated the "fatigued parts" of her.
“Actually, more accurately it has aggravated those fatigued parts of me that have been so for so long now,” she further wrote.
The Megastar then talked about how her movie has become a welcome distraction for her, saying that it takes her mind off reality even for just a few hours every day.
“My movie, like any project I have ever worked on all my life has been a welcome distraction. Work makes me more tired nowadays, & takes my mind off ‘reality’ for hours everyday, because I am old, but really just a big kid, & have been tired not only of work but my own life for so long,” Shawie said.
She also praised the Almighty that she loves her work and loved the chance of having to “play the role of someone” who is not her.
“But I PRAISE GOD that I LOVE MY WORK - the challenge and excitement every project brings me,being with the people I work with, many of whom have become good friends & some,even family,” she said.
“I love being on set.I love having the opportunity to play the role of someone who is not me. But after work,well… thank God that my children give me a reason to get up, to talk, to have simple fun with - even if I spend most of my time in bed when not working,” Mega added.
She also revealed sleep has become her best friend, giving her a chance to escape.
“Sleep has become my best friend - a chance to escape&be all alone.I dunno if you’ll believe this but I have been an introvert and a loner since childhood. So the opposite of how you see me on TV,” Sharon said.
“I had mastered the art of smiling &being in the moment to laugh & enjoy being with the people around me at work, & my friends who are not in showbiz. I am grateful for that,” Mega further said.
“But also, it is sad, don’t you think? I am so used to being that person who laughs and makes people laugh even when my heart is in pieces,” she revealed.
The Megastar then gave an indication she’s going through something and making people happy, at least, takes her mind on whatever she’s going through at present.
“I already act for a living. I don’t like having that switch to look and seem happy when really,I am not. Since my 20s I have been like this. Di pagiging plastic yon-kundi lagi lang nasa isip ko na wala naman kinalaman ang ibang tao sa pinagdadaanan ko and it takes so little to make people happy, which also makes me happy in return,” the Megastar said.
“So this year,I am “SKIPPING CHRISTMAS.” Because any more pressure will make me implode, explode. I pray you understand why no gifts this year. But I love you ❤️,” Sharon concluded.
Sharon Cuneta, commonly known as the 'Megastar' in the local showbiz industry, is a prominent veteran celebrity in the Philippines. She is also the mother of KC Concepcion, her daughter with fellow actor Gabby Concepcion. In 1996, she tied the knot with Kiko Pangilinan.
Recently, the Megastar was interviewed by Boy Abunda on “Fast Talk With Boy Abunda.” They talked about Sharon’s former husband, Gabby Concepcion, and their daughter, KC Concepcion. Sharon said that she could have spent more time with KC during her childhood. Furthermore, Sharon said that her past rifts with KC disappear whenever they get to spend time together.
Previously, during the presscon for her movie with Alden Richards, "Family of Two," she also talked about KC Concepcion. The Megastar revealed that her daughter will not be spending Christmas with them. KC would be spending Christmas with her father, Gabby. She added that it would be the first Christmas that KC would be spending with her dad.
