Darren Espanto has taken to X to tease Maris Racal about the dress that she wore for the Christmas Station ID shoot.

In the photo where he commented, one could see that Maris was a standout considering that she wore a formal dress while the rest of the ABS-CBN artists around her were in casual attire.

In the replies, Maris said that she was not able to read that it would just be casual attire.

"Hindi ko nabasa na casual attire lang pala," said Maris.

Many netizens immediately said that Maris was simply being Irene Tiu, her role in "Can't Buy Me Love."

Ms Nicaragua was recently crowned as the new Miss Universe, a first of such title for her country. Pinoy netizens, however, were quick to note that the gown worn by the new Ms U appeared to be similar to that worn by Maris in the past. Some of them immediately took to social media to create memes jokingly telling Maris she can’t fool netizens as she was really Ms Nicaragua.

She also previously took to IG Stories to share the reaction of her mother to her series, "Can't Buy Me Love." The actress said that her mom is actually a huge fan of the series. However, she also shared the catch that came with her mom being a "fan" of CBML. She revealed that her mother "hates" her now because of the series, considering that she plays the antagonist Irene Tiu.
