Recently, Vice was the subject of a rumor about being summoned by the MTRCB for her commercial. Before the rumor got bigger, however, The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) issued a statement that denied summoning a celebrity who appeared in a fast-food chain television commercial. The MTRCB statement did not name names but netizens assumed that the celebrity in question was Vice Ganda, who appeared in a McDonald's commercial. According to the rumor, the MTRCB supposedly summoned Vice for the way he ate his piece of fried chicken in the commercial. The MTRCB firmly asserts that these claims are entirely baseless and misleading.
In another post, it showed a video of Anne Curtis and Vice showing the two teasing each other about rival fastfood companies where they separately endorse food products. In the beginning of the video, one can see Vice singing the theme song of “It’s Showtime,” which she then connected with the jingle of a known fastfood company causing Anne to smile sheepishly. They were then shown interviewing a little girl in the “Isip-Bata” segment where she suddenly revealed they ate at the fastfood company where Anne was endorsing one of their products. The actress laughed out loud when she saw the look of surprise on the face of Vice Ganda.
