In response to online rumors, the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) issued a statement on October 29, 2023, categorically denying any summoning of a celebrity who appeared in a fast-food chain television commercial.

“The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) debunks social media posts claiming that the Board has summoned a certain celebrity who appeared in a recent Television ( TV ) Commercial of a Fast-food chain. Such claims are malicious and false.

“In this digital age, it is crucial to verify the news and be mindful of sources of information before sharing. This incident underscores the importance of Media literacy and Critical thinking.

Vice Ganda is a famous comedian, actor, endorser, and host in the Philippines. He is best known for hosting “It’s Showtime” and for his commercially successful movies in the MMFF. The superstar is currently in a relationship with Ion Perez. He and Ion got their Certificate of Commitment in a special ceremony in Las Vegas, Nevada on Oct. 19, 2021.

In a previous report, Vice Ganda, 47, expressed his frustrations over a local airline on Tuesday, October 24. Just recently, on the social media site X, Vice released a series of rants against the airline. There, Vice questioned the airlines' alleged decision to overbook, saying, "May damdamin pa ba kayo ng malasakit para sa pasahero?" At one point, the 'Unkabogable Star' even revealed he shed tears while running to catch his plane with Ion Perez.

Earlier, Vice Ganda and Ion Perez flew to Thailand for a lovely vacation. Ion took to social media and shared photos giving glimpses of their trip. Among the photos he shared are snaps of him and Vice with an elephant. The famous comedian also commented, "Strength. Loyalty. Longevity," in one of Ion's posts. It is noteworthy that they had a lovely vacation amid It's Showtime's 12-day suspension mandated by the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB).
