On Instagram, Kris’s friend, writer Dindo Balares, gave an explanation on why Kris and Mark always break up and then get back together again.

Dindo explained that his friend Kris, who is residing in the US due to her medical treatments, has broken up with Mark due to the difficulties of their long-distance relationship.

Whenever Mark visits Kris in the US and then goes back to the Philippines, the Queen of All Media feels intense loneliness and stress. Dindo believes that if Mark can be patient until Kris finishes her treatments in the US, there might be a future for Mark and Kris’s romance.

“Bakit daw on-and-off. Parang kumplikado, pero simple lang ang dahilan.

“Bawat goodbye, napaka-stressful kay Kris.

“Pamilyar ba kayo sa lyrics ng ’Always Remember Us This Way’?

"’Every time we say goodbye, baby, it hurts," sabi sa isang linya.

“Ginugusto ni Kris na wala na lang silang relasyon, pero pursigido si VG Mark kaya muling naaayos at nagkakabalikan.

“Hindi kinakaya ni Kris ang mabibigat na emosyon ng malayuang love affair.

“Umuwi ng Pilipinas last October 31 si Vice Gov Mark Leviste.

“According to people staying with Kris in her rented home in Orange County, pinag-isipan niyang mabuti ang pagdedesisyon.

“November 3-4, she told VG Mark na ngayong mas mahirap na ang treatment niya, hindi talaga niya nakikita na kakayanin niya ang long distance relationship.

“Nag-confide si Kris na ang bawat goodbye nila ay napaka-stressful and to quote her: ‘Being alone is better than having someone with you for one week then feeling the sadness of each goodbye. It may seem selfish pero I’m prioritizing my emotional wellness.’

“Madaling unawain ang isang ina na gusto pang mabuhay para sa kanyang mga anak.

“Kung mananatiling malawak ang pang-unawa at makapaghihintay si VG Mark, tulad ng 20 taon na ipinaghintay niya o hanggang maka-recover ang kalusugan ni Kris, malay natin... baka nga may forever,” Dindo posted.

Kris Aquino, is a Pinay actress, TV host, producer, endorser, and businesswoman. She was born on February 14, 1971, to former Senator Benigno "Ninoy" S. Aquino, Jr. and former President Corazon “Cory” C. Aquino.

Previously, Kris also took to IG Stories and shared the symptoms that she is experiencing because of her illness. She shared that she has been in so much pain, which penetrates up to her bones. Kris then praised those who are undergoing chemotherapy, finding them to be really brave. The actress also said, "nagising ako sa katotohanan" regarding a relationship.

She also was thrust once again into the limelight with her other social media posts. On September 1, Kris took to Instagram and showcased her text message to Mark Leviste. In the convo, Kris asked Mark if he was already tired of the "unanswered messages." She also told Mark that no one had influenced her but that they just grew apart.
