Jerome Ponce opens up on breakup with Sachzna Laparan: “It’s really about space”

Actor Jerome Ponce was interviewed by ABS-CBN News about his controversial breakup with actress-influencer Sachzna Laparan. According to Jerome, he is happy months after the split as he is focusing more on becoming a better person.

”Sa state of my emotions, I'm still happy, more focused, at mas iniisip ko yung mga bagay na ukol sa akin bilang isang tao, isang human being, isang mamamayan," Jerome shared.

However, he lamented that people had malicious views about his viral photos with a fan, accusing him of cheating before. Nonetheless, Jerome is now coping with it by trying to understand the feelings of his accusers.

"Sa work ko, maraming nagpapa picture. And yung kumalat na picture, nagpapa picture lang sya e. That was the birthday of my cousin. Well, i check nyo ngayon sino ba yung single.

"Naiintindihan ko yung tao why they judged me before, siguro may mga nagawa ako at naging ganun ang image ko," he explained.

As for the reason for his breakup with Sachzna, Jerome said that he just needed some space to feel joy and to have more focus in his life.

"It's really about space... All I want is to be happy and be focused," the actor shared.

Furthermore, Jerome is planning to take a two-year break from getting into relationships.

"Very happy ako na parang hindi muna ako makikipag relationship, hindi muna ako makikipag close sa tao, hindi ako maguumpisa. Alam mo yun? I just want to be friends with everyone. Iba pala talaga yung feeling na mamahalin mo ulit yung sarili mo... Actually iniisip ko two years," he said.

Sachzna Laparan is a Filipina influencer and YouTuber who made a name for herself alongside her ex-boyfriend, Jomar Lovena. However, the couple called it quits back in 2021. Now, Sachzna is currently in a relationship with actor, Jerome Ponce.

Their conversations showed a glimpse of Jerome's sweetness and how much he loved Sachzna during that time. Earlier, Sachzna was interviewed by Ogie Diaz on his YouTube channel. During the interview, Sachzna was asked about the viral video she took of the policeman. According to Sachzna, the last update she heard was that the real wife of the policeman came forward. She also revealed that the real wife thanked her for exposing her husband in the viral video
