- Marian, in her post, said that someone must tell the actress that the orifice covers that she was paying homage to were allegedly "grave robber stuff"

- She then said that the jewelry she wore was allegedly the result of desecrated graves

Beauty Gonzalez became the subject of a post of a cultural critic for the jewelry that the former wore at the recently held GMA Gala 2023.

Marian Pastor Roces took to Facebook and called out beauty because the jewelry that the actress was paying homage to was allegedly "grave robber stuff."

She also said that if the items were legally excavated, then they would have ended up at either the National Museum or Bangko Sentral.

"Someone tell this woman that the orifice covers she is paying "homage" to are grave robber stuff. Because if these were legally excavated, the pieces would belong to the National Museum or the Bangko Sentral."

"Or: if the pieces were excavated decades ago and therefore privately owned by sensible collectors before current restrictions, the question still remains: why death masks as necklace?"

She then added that while the owners were already dead for a thousand years, the necklaces were still fashioned from the excavations of so many individuals.

"That is an astounding number of desecrated graves!"

She then posted a question.

She took to Instagram and gave her followers an overview of her look at the GMA Gala 2023. She chose to flaunt the Philippine Ancestral Gold and made it part of her fabulous look. The actress said that her look was an appreciation for the aforementioned gold. Her lovely neckpiece and earrings were excavated eye and mouth covers from Butuan and Surigao.
