Joey De Leon took to Instagram and shared a poster, which showed that the noontime show EAT has once more topped the ratings.

It garnered the highest number at 4.94%, leaving behind both Eat Bulaga and It's Showtime with a more than 1% lead, based on Nielsen NUTAM overnight ratings.

Eat Bulaga had 3.24% while It's Showtime had 3.55%.

Meanwhile, hordes of netizens took to the comments section to write their reactions to the news.

"Taob sila sa Gimme 5...ganda ng bagong pinoy Henyo," wrote one netizen.

"Sana mabawi nyo ang EAT BULAGA ❤️," another said, expressing her hope about the original name of the show.

"Sana mag-invest si MVP sa structural upgrade. Sulit naman yan," commented yet another netizen.

Born on October 14, 1946, Jose Maria Ramos de Leon Jr., known professionally as Joey de Leon, is an iconic actor, comedian, and television host in the Philippines. He is a member of the comedy trio Tito, Vic and Joey that has made several comedy movies and TV shows. Joey is also best known for being a pioneer host of the longest-running noontime show in the country, “Eat Bulaga.” It premiered on July 30, 1979.

Recently, Joey also posted on Instagram about his noontime show on TV5, “E.A.T.” The famous host promoted some of the segments of the program including ‘Sino ang henyo’ and ‘Sugod Bahay mga Kapatid’. According to Joey, his show, although no longer called ‘Eat Bulaga,’ is still the longest-running noontime show. He added that “E.A.T.” is not the “tolongges noontime show."

His grandson, Jakob, also recently warmed the hearts of netizens. This was after Joey posted a video showing the adorable little boy. In the cute video, Jakob was singing the theme song of “E.A.T.” Netizens then took to the comments section and gushed over the reel.
