Mayor Bullet Jalosjos, nagpasalamat matapos manguna ang TAPE’s ‘Eat Bulaga’ sa ratings

The revamped Eat Bulaga led in the July 19 ratings, according to AGB Nielsen’s National Urban Television Audience Measurement (NUTAM).

TAPE Inc.’s EB on GMA Network received a rating of 4.12 percent, E.A.T on TV5 got 3.79 percent on TV5, and It’s Showtime garnered 2.76 percent on A2Z and GTV.

Dapitan City Mayor and TAPE Inc.’s Finance Director Seth Frederick “Bullet” Jalosjos took to social media to share the news.

In an Instagram story, Jalosjos posted an art card that displays the said ratings.

In his on-screen caption, he also wrote a message for the viewers of EB.

“Maraming maraming salamat sa inyong lahat.”

"Eat Bulaga" is the longest-running noontime variety program on Philippine television. The show premiered on July 30, 1979. Its pioneer hosts include showbiz icons Vic Sotto, Joey de Leon, and Tito Sotto. Tape Inc.'s "Eat Bulaga" recently went back live on air on GMA with its new lineup of hosts, including Paolo Contis, Buboy Villar and Betong Sumaya.

Isko Moreno and Paolo Contis have just inked a “long-term” contract with TAPE’s ‘Eat Bulaga.’ The contract signing took place on July 8 at APT Studios. TAPE Inc. and Sparkle GMA Artist Center’s executives were present at the contract signing event - Sparkle and Kapuso reporter Nelson Canlas took to its social media pages and shared photos from the event.

Isko, during his "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" guesting, shared with Boy the words of wisdom he gave to the “Eat Bulaga” team before they aired last July 1. The former Manila City mayor told them to just enjoy the afternoon and be themselves. He also admitted that they felt so much pressure on that day when TVJ’s “E.A.T.” was launched and “It’s Showtime” started airing on GTV.
