David Licauco may be the silent type but it appears that his real feelings may not have escaped scrutiny from a lie detector machine.

In his latest interview with Bea Alonzo for her YouTube channel, the actress asked David if he’s willing to be strapped to a lie detector machine while answering some questions.

The actor readily agreed and prepared to answer Bea's questions.

One of the questions asked was whether he thinks that Jak Roberto, the real-life boyfriend of Barbie Forteza, is jealous of him.

David immediately answered “No,” explaining that he and Jak are friends and the latter is aware of his partnership with Barbie for some projects are for purely business purposes.

“We are friends. Artista rin kasi s’ya. So I think he knows all the ins and outs of this industry,” David said.

“And I think si Barbie, hindi rin naman s’ya nagkukulang to give him assurance. Knowing Barbie, she’s a good person. I think na she’s a good partner also,” he added.

Bea then asked since there are so many fans that often “ship” the two of them, did he ever consider the possibility that they would be in a relationship.

“What if naging kami ni Barbie?” Bea asked.

“No,” David readily answered, however, the polygraph machine sounded at this point and the one manning it told Bea that the actor may not be truthful with his answer now.

Because of this, the actress fell into fits of laughter, though she said she can relate as it’s normal for actors to think about that.

“I’m sure it’s inevitable, like kami ni John Lloyd. We were never together, we were never romantically involved. But of course, sometimes, naiisip ko ’yon. ‘Oo nga ’no? Paano nga kaya?’ Kasi everyone’s telling me to date him,” Bea said.

Because of this, David was forced to admit that indeed, it has crossed his mind, though added that he has great respect for the relationship of the JakBie couple.

David Licauco is a Pinoy model, actor, and businessman. He rose to fame when he took on the role of Fidel in the GMA series, "Maria Clara at Ibarra."

In a post several months ago, David expressed belief that Jak, the BF of Barbie, understands his love team with the latter is purely work. It can be recalled that the loveteam of "FiLay," meaning Fidel and Klay as portrayed by David and Barbie was a hit with the viewing audiences.

In a separate post, David reminisced about the tragedy that caused him to stop playing basketball. He then talked about his best friend who managed to save him. Because of this, he says he now considers his life now as his second one.
