Regine Velasquez was interviewed on ABS-CBN's "Tao Po: Regine Velasquez sa kanyang karera," and she got to talk about her love life.

In the interview, she admitted that the first man who actually made her heart beat was singer Ariel Rivera.

She explained why it was Ariel, saying that he was good to her.

"It was Ariel Rivera...and he was good to me. It's just that it wasn't meant to be and after him, since sobra akong nag-enjoy, natuwa ako, parang I was excited to fall in love again," Reg explained.

After this, she narrated that it was when she and her husband, Ogie Alcasid, met.

"When we met and we became really close, he was already married. We didn't expect for it to happen but it did. Our beginnings were really really difficult...," said Reg.

However, both wanted to be with each other and everything just eventually worked out for everyone.

Regine Velasquez is a famous singer who earned the title, "Asia's Songbird." Apart from singing, she has also acted in several films and is also a producer.

Regine, in an episode of "Tao Po" by ABS-CBN, looked back at the start of her career. She recalled how she started as a singer, and how she got a good break when she won a singing competition. The singer said that it was not easy because at one point her manager was told that she would not be popular. Her manager was even told that while she was a good singer, she was not beautiful enough.

In a social media post, she expressed great sadness over what happened at the Manila Central Post Office. It can be recalled that the said building was engulfed in flames on Sunday and reached the highest fire alarm level on Monday. According to Regine, the historic building has been part of her life where she said she made a lot of friends.
