“I don't have kids but I would like to have just one when God feels it's time. I actually didn't want a kid before. But as I matured, I really had to sit with myself and ask my soul if I truly wanted a child,” Maxene said.
“Because I certainly don't want to bring another soul into this world unconciously. I don't want to have kids just because everyone else is doing it,” she added.

The celebrity then said that she wanted to move at her own pace and so indicated that she will take time to learn everything about motherhood before having a child of her own.

“I choose to move at my own pace. So when I meditated on it, I realized that I would like a child for the sole purpose of passing on what I learned in my journey and also make the child feel the kind of love and energy that I offer. So that they can also pass it on to the future generations,” the celebrity continued in her answer.

She said that while she’s not a mother yet, she believes that there is no surefire formula when it comes to parenting and that one can read lots of books about it but there is really one thing that needs to be done.

“I may not have a child yet but what I believe is that there is no one formula for parenting. We can read all the books we want and study how to raise kids but if we don't do the inner work to heal, we will definitely have a hard time raising them,” Maxene said.

She then laid out her plan on how to go about it in case the time comes for her to have a child.

“What I would do is heal and work on my energy because kids don't follow what we say - they copy the way we behave. They absorb our energy,” she said.

“So the best way for me to be a parent is to be super conscious so that I can work on myself everyday and be present and emotionally connected to my child. Just my 2 cents,” Maxene said, indicating that her answer is just her own opinion.

Maxene is an actress and social media star in the Philippines. Her father is the late rap legend Francis Magalona. The actress revealed in May 2020 that she has been seeing a psychiatrist due to her mental illness. She used to be married to Rob Manquil but they have already broken up and have gone separate ways.

In an earlier report by KAMI, Maxene indicated she still wants to have kids someday in the future. In an Instagram post, Maxene showed a question she received from a netizen. This prompted Maxene to write a raw, honest post about motherhood and wanting to experience it. According to Maxene, she wants to have one kid only, for the sole purpose of passing on what she learned in her journey.

In a separate post, Maxene admitted to still having toxic traits up to this day despite years of doing self-healing. The mental health advocate shared that she has difficulties accepting constructive criticisms. She flares up, gets defensive, and explodes with anger when being told that she has done something wrong. The actress believes that this trait was caused by some of the childhood wounds she suffered from people who have hurt her in the past.
