In a recent Instagram post, the actress revealed that she had repeatedly declined movie and television offers in recent years as she prioritized her recovery and overall well-being.

Despite still focusing on her health, Sunshine shared that she recently received the green light from her neurologist to accept a new project.

“Few weeks ago, I got a call to guest in a series. My Neuro gave me a clearance,” she said.

The actress also expressed enthusiasm about joining the production, especially since it involves working with an actor she has long admired.

“Excited to be a part of a series of this actor who I have been wanting to work with. Health still comes first but 2 days of taping wouldn't hurt. 😉🥰🎬,” added Sunshine.

Her most recent television appearance was in the 2023 series "Unbreak My Heart."

Sunshine first publicly discussed her condition during a fashion event in 2025, revealing that the illness had caused facial symptoms and muscle weakness that affected her neck.

"It's been a real roller coaster these past months," she wrote.
"I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease called myasthenia gravis, which has made building muscle a real struggle. But I'm so thankful for the strength I've found. Thank you @coach.iya," added the actress.
