After being away from the acting scene for quite some time, seasoned actress Sunshine Cruz is finally back in front of the camera. She recently opened up to her followers about her quiet three-year break and the medical reasons behind her decision to put her career on hold.

As seen on Instagram, Sunshine posted a lovely photo of herself looking radiant, alongside a caption explaining her prolonged absence from TV shows and movies.

"For 3 years, I've declined movies and projects due to my myasthenia gravis. Grateful to always be considered but I didn't want to burden the prod if my AI suddenly flares up so I opted to focus on my health journey instead," Sunshine explained.

Myasthenia gravis is an autoimmune condition that causes muscle weakness, one that gets worse with activity. To ensure her long-term well-being, Sunshine prioritized her recovery over heavy shooting schedules. However, a recent surprise phone call changed things for the better.

"Few weeks ago I got a call to guest in a series. My Neuro gave me a clearance," she shared.

The actress is incredibly thrilled about the brief comeback role. Another image from her post, gave fans a behind-the-scenes look at her scenes through a production monitor. For Sunshine, getting to share the screen with other professionals made the opportunity impossible to pass up.

"Excited to be a part of a series of this actor who I have been wanting to work with. Health still comes first but 2 days of taping wouldn't hurt. 😉🥰🎬," Sunshine added in her online post.
