Paolo Contis, malugod na sinuportahan ang "It's Showtime": "Matatawag na namin kayong Kapuso"

Paolo Contis, in one of the latest episodes of "Eat Bulaga" took the time to welcome their new neighbor in GMA-7, no other than "It's Showtime."

The actor considered the show as another one that can provide happiness to the people, also noting that the said show has been ahead of them.

"I'll take this opportunity, iwe-welcome ko na rin ang isa pa na nagbibigay saya. Mas nauna 'to sa amin pagdating sa mga hosting pero ngayon kapitbahay na natin sila. Sa It's Showtime, welcome."

He also sincerely called them as "Kapuso."

"Dahil ngayon, kapitbahay na namin kayo at masaya kami na matatawag na namin kayong Kapuso.”

Paolo also added that regardless of being Kapuso or Dabarkads, what's important is that they are all able to give happiness to the viewers, which is why they are happy that "It's Showtime" is now there.

"Welcome to your new home, 'It's Showtime.'"

Eat Bulaga is the longest-running noontime program in the world. Its hosts, including Vic Sotto, Tito Sotto, Joey De Leon, Maine Mendoza, and others announced last May 31 that they are separating from TAPE Inc., the company that produces the show. It is not yet clear as of this writing if the hosts will take the Eat Bulaga title with them to another network or if TAPE Inc. will keep the iconic name.

Paolo revealed on ’The Boobay and Tekla Show’ that he sent private messages to both Vic Sotto and Joey De Leon. The new ‘Eat Bulaga’ host sent a private message to Vic through the latter’s wife, Pauleen Luna. Likewise, Paolo sent a private message to Joey, who he described as his “kumpare.” Paolo then shared the content of his private messages.

The ABS-CBN program ‘It’s Showtime’ will be transferring from TV5 to GMA’s GTV starting July 1. ‘Eat Bulaga’ host Paolo Contis reacted to this huge news since both shows will be under the Kapuso brand. Since both ‘It’s Showtime’ and ‘Eat Bulaga’ are now under one roof with the same time slot, Paolo believes that the two shows will have a healthy competition. The comedian-host is also excited that this healthy competition will open a lot of opportunities for celebrities.
