In a separate tweet, the host also commended Sen. Raffy Tulfo for not having any qualms in correcting the Chief of Police of Makati PNP with regards to his notion about Awra.
The senator asked the policeman why Awra would be aggressive towards a man and request the latter to take off his clothes.
To this the colonel answered that becaue Awra is gay, he would want to see the body of the male personality.
Senator Tulfo immediately corrected him and said that he was wrong.
"Ay hindi Sir, mali ka diyan Sir. Wag ganun. Palibhasa'y gay, gustong makita agad ang katawan ng isang lalaki? Siguro po, merong pinagmulan yung kaguluhan."
Awra Briguela, or McNeal Briguela, is a young Filipino comedian and actor. His popularity started when he became part of FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano when he was personally chosen for the role by the show's lead actor Coco Martin. He was also the first champion for season one of the Philippine version of Your Face Sounds Familiar: Kids. In 2016, Awra's life was featured in a titular episode of Maalaala Mo Kaya.
Zeinab Harake took to Twitter and expressed her thoughts on Awra. The vlogger and social media influencer stated that she could no longer take what is happening to her friend now. "Di na kinakya ng sikmura ko" Zebby said - She also stated that the pain in her heart simply hurts so much.
Mark Christian Ravana, the man whom Awra had an altercation with outside a Makati brawl trended on Twitter. The name has been retweeted thousands of times following the arrest of the comedienne. A video of Mark on a police patrol car has also gone viral on social media. The comedienne's friend has stated that Awra only defended her friends from alleged harassers.
