"Eat Bulaga" is the longest-running noontime variety program on Philippine television. The show premiered on July 30, 1979. Its pioneer hosts include showbiz icons Vic Sotto, Joey de Leon, and Tito Sotto.
Joey de Leon immediately took to social media after his, Vic and Tito Sotto’s announcement on Eat Bulaga’s YouTube channel. On May 31, the show’s three main hosts revealed that they will be parting ways with Television and Production Exponents Inc. (TAPE). Following the big news, Joey cryptically said in a post that they are not signing off. The 76-year-old comedian underscored, "We are just taking a day off!"
Recently, Luis Manzano shared a new joke about the pioneer hosts of "Eat Bulaga." He quipped that aside from Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto and Joey de Leon, there were other two original hosts of the show. The Kapamilya host’s post jokingly implied that John Cena and Anne Curtis were the other two hosts. Luis also hilariously stressed that the wrestler and the actress were mentioned in the program’s iconic theme song.
