Cristy Fermin, during the June 6 episode of "Cristy Ferminute," discussed the first airing of "Eat Bulaga" after TVJ parted ways with TAPE on May 31, the company that has been producing the show for years.

Nay Cristy read some of the comments of netizens regarding the said episode and also noted the pronouncements made by TAPE in its official statement after the May 31 saga.

She said that it is one big lesson for those in TAPE.

Nay Cristy said that one must not leave words that could make people expect or hope.

"Isang leksyon ho ito sa mga taga-TAPE. Huwag ho tayo mag-iiwan ng salita na paasa. Yung mas matindi pang tuwa at galak, ano pong binigay niyo? Mas matinding konsumisyon. Di ba? At pagkainis. Diyan po kayo ngayon inaano," she noted.

Later in the episode, she asked what happened to the episode and asked whether they could exceed TVJ.

"Yan ang sinasabing sobra-sobrang tuwa at galak ang ibibigay ng TAPE Inc. Lalampasan ang TVJ? Lalampasan ang Dabarkads? Anyare?"

"Eat Bulaga" is the longest-running noontime variety program on Philippine television. The show premiered on July 30, 1979. Its pioneer hosts include showbiz icons Vic Sotto, Joey de Leon, and Tito Sotto. "Eat Bulaga" went back live on air with its new lineup of hosts.

It can be recalled that after TVJ parted ways with TAPE, Inc., the producer of “Eat Bulaga,” the production firm continued to use the same brand, albeit with new hosts.
