Gab Valenciano, in an Instagram post, recently revealed that he got involved in a vehicular accident on the freeway last week.
While he didn’t say which freeway the accident happened, he did mention that the impact sent him “a good 70 feet away” from the point of impact.
He was riding a motorcycle at the time and got side-swiped by an SUV at around 75Mph, or 120Kmh, though he did not mention which vehicle was estimated to be running in that speed at the time.
“Last Tuesday, my Tito Ranier and I spoke about me speaking and sharing my testimony in his church. A couple of moments after I left to go to him, this happened. I got side swiped on the freeway by an suv at around 75mph which launched me a good 70ft away from the collision,” Gab wrote in his post.

Although he said he was in full gear, the force of the impact plus the momentum caused him to be thrown some distance away and in the process, got his jacket and pants burned, perhaps due to the friction on the surface.
“I was in full gear but because of the force of the impact and momentum, it burned through my jacket and pants,” the celebrity dancer and musician said.
He then revealed that it was his first accident and though he had been riding for almost twenty years, he realized he would go through some unexpected experiences.
“This is the first accident in my entire life that I did not expect or see coming. Been riding for close to two decades and still, new unexpected experiences to learn from,” he added.
Gab then took time to thank motorists who stopped to help him and the emergency responders who aided him.
“I would like to say thank you to all the drivers and riders who stopped to help me by checking up, giving me water and food. Also exchanged numbers in case I needed assistance later on. Esp @pumpkin_600 who I just met due to this incident and he stopped and stayed with me for a bit. Thank you bro!” Gab wrote.
“I also want to commend all the firemen, police officers and EMTs who were professional, efficient and kind. I have never felt so safe after a major accident,” he added.
The celebrity also thanked his family and friends in the US and in Manila for their “messages of encouragement and love.”
“Thank you also to all my friends, family and loved ones for all the messages of encouragement and love, here and in Manila. I love you all!!” he wrote.
He also thanked his Tito Ranier who took care of him for several days after going out of the hospital and assured everyone that he is okay now.
“Lastly, I want to say thank you to my Tito Ranier who picked me up in the hospital and took care of me for the first few days. It’s been very tough moving around especially at night considering I have gashes on my lower and upper back, so sleeping has been tough too but all is well. Slowly but surely,” the celebrity said.
Gab then indicated that it is only now that he’s able to tell his story and then thanked the Almighty for everything.
“Today is Sunday and by God’s grace, I was able to speak and share my story. With my family by my side. In all things God works for the good of those who love Him. May God bless you all today and keep safe out there. All is well in His name ,” Gab wrote.
Gab celebrated World Mental Health Day with an inspiring post. He uploaded a photo comparison of himself before and after he started to deal with his mental health issues properly. According to Gab, it is never too late for a person to seek inner peace. Surrounding oneself with the right energy and people instead of getting immersed in the hatred and violence of society is the key, Gab said.
In a recent post on social media, expressed his gratitude to his mom, Angeli Pangilinan, for being always there for him. He said that when everyone else turned their backs on him, it was his mom who stayed and believed in him. The celebrity endorser also admitted that his mom plays a very important role in his growth. Gab then said that Angeli is his “platinum standard of what it means to be a strong woman.”
He also shared an emotional video of the moment he bid his family goodbye at the airport. His mom, Angeli Pangilinan, was not able to hold back the tears and went on crying when he hugged her. Gab's father, Gary Valenciano, likewise became emotional when he embraced his son. In his caption, he said that it was not goodbye but simply a hopeful and exciting "see you later."
