Korean trot singer Haesoo has recently passed away, her representative announced in a statement.

The statement was released on May 15 on her official fan café Haesoopia, according to Soompi.

It said, "We feel apologetic to have to convey such heartbreaking and sad news. On May 12, Haesoo left our side and became a light in the vast ocean."

"Haesoo was a warm person who knew how to give love to those around her, share affection, and receive it."

The statement added that the funeral will be held "quietly and privately," according to the bereaved family's wishes.

In a report by Koreaboo, a Korean singer was discovered dead in her room on May 12. It was later identified as Haesoo.

The police stated they had also found a letter presumably written by the singer and that they didn't suspect any foul play.

As per AllKpop, Haesoo debuted in 2019 with the song "My Life, Me" from her 1st EP album. In 2021, she released her second album, 'Kongmuni,' and began activities on various music broadcasts, variety shows, and radio programs.

Born in 1993, Haesoo was a promising trot singer. Trot is a genre of Korean popular music, known for its use of repetitive rhythm and vocal inflections.

Last April, K-pop group Astro's Moonbin passed away at the age of 25. His talent agency Fantagio confirmed the heartbreaking news. Reports said Moonbin's manager found the idol dead at his home in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.

In January of 2022, South Korean actress Kim Mi-soo passed away at the age of 31. Landscape Entertainment, her agency, announced the heartbreaking news in a statement. As per the statement, the 'Snowdrop' actress "suddenly passed away on January 5." The talent agency, however, opted not to mention the cause of death in the statement.
