Anjo Yllana has made a public appeal to TAPE, the producer of the longest running noontime show, "Eat Bulaga," for his backwages to be paid.

In Manila Bulletin's report, the comedian aired his sentiments on DZRH's "Showbiz Talk Ganern."

"Ngayon, kung may tiwala kayo sa akin, yun lang naman yun, e. Lima o pitong buwan. Konting compensation. 20 years naman ako sa inyo, kalahati halos ng buhay ko inalay ko naman sa inyo. Wala naman akong masamang tinapay sa inyo."

Anjo also revealed that he initially wanted to entrust everything to God. However, when he learned that Vic Sotto was paid by the company, he changed his mind and decided to pursue his claims.

"Kumbaaga pinagpasa-Diyos ko na lang yun kasi sabi nga naging masaya naman ako. Mahal ko yung mga katrabaho ko dun pero kung magkakabayaran, sama naman ako. Kahit wala na ako diyan, sama naman ako. Kasi pinagtrabahuhan ko naman," he said.

In Philstar's report, Anjoy said that even when he was still in the show, they would hardly talk about the debt of the management.

The show is still ongoing, and the latest development from its cast was that Ryzza Mae Dizon already had her moving up, as per GMA.

“Eat Bulaga” is the longest-running noontime show in the country that airs on the GMA network. The show is a blocktimer and is produced by the Television And Production Exponents, Inc or TAPE, Inc, which is primarily owned by Tony Tuviera and former Cong. Romeo Jalosjos. The main hosts are Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon. Its other hosts are Jose Manalo, Allan K ., Wally Bayola, Paolo Ballesteros, Pauleen Luna, Ryan Agoncillo, Ryzza Mae Dizon, Maine Mendoza, Maja Salvador, Miles Ocampo, Ruru Madrid, Bianca Umali and Carren Eistrup.

Vic Sotto declined to answer or give any comment to the question on whether or not he wanted the noontime show “Eat Bulaga” to stay with GMA Network. Media personnel chanced upon Vic in what appeared to be an event and so pr proceeded to ask him some questions. In that ambush interview, Vic confirmed that TAPE already paid him the talent fee allegedly owed him, though he declined to give any information as to when and how much. He then denied rumors about “Eat Bulaga” transferring to another network, though declined to comment if he wanted the show to stay with GMA Network.

He also confirmed that TAPE, Inc has already paid him the amount that the production entity allegedly owed the TV host and actor. TAPE is short for Television And Production Exponents, and is the company that produces “Eat Bulaga.” In a video uploaded by entertainment writer Rose Garcia on her social media channel, Vic was shown in an ambush interview confirming that he had indeed received payment. Earlier, former Sen. Tito Sotto revealed that TAPE still owes Vic and Joey de Leon 30 million each as their talent fee spanning several years as hosts of the program.
