A video of the crowd chanting "Bohol, Bohol, Bohol" right after the conclusion of the Miss Universe Philippines 2023 pageant has gone viral.

In a video uploaded by Sunstar Cebu, the crowd chanting was already on its way down the escalator, leaving the pageant venue.

Miss Bohol did not cinch the top spot, but it was Miss Makati who bagged the coveted Miss Universe 2023 crown.

Michelle Marquez Dee was crowned MU2023 and she will be representing the Philippines in the Miss Universe 2023 Pageant, which will be held in El Salvador.

The question given to Miss Makati was, "For you, what is the best that we can offer to the rest of the world? Why do you consider it so?"

Her winning answer can be found below.

"But I firmly believe that the best natural resource that the Philippines is us Filipinos. We are the true heart and soul of the Philippines with the way we are hospitable, with the warm smiles... And we are the reason why the world keeps coming back for more. No matter where the universe takes me, I'll always be proud to call the Philippines my home. And no matter what happens I will always be proud to call myself Pinoy."

Michelle Dee is a beauty queen who rose to fame after winning the Miss Universe Philippines 2023 pageant. She will represent the Philippines at the 72nd Miss Universe pageant in El Salvador later this year. Michelle’s mother is actress and former beauty queen Melanie Marquez.

She was crowned as the Miss Universe PH 2023 last night at the Mall of Asia Arena. During the final question and answer, Michelle was asked about the Department of Tourism's new branding campaign "We give the world our best." The host asked Michelle what she believes is the best thing about the Philippines. According to Michelle, although the Philippines have great natural resources and tourist spots, the best thing about the country is the warmth and friendliness of the Filipino people.

In another story, Anne Jakrajutatip revealed what she said to Catriona Gray during their viral interaction at an event in Thailand back in November 2022. The Miss Universe Organization (MUO) owner, during her guesting on "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda," recalled that she apologized to Catriona for "whatever happened in the past."
